Welcome to CGCO
At Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra the aim is inspirational ensemble music-making. We perform a season of four concerts a year at the beautiful Victorian church of St Peter’s, Notting Hill, as well as occasional concerts at other venues, as part of arts festivals and choral events.
We enjoy working with different conductors throughout each season. We rehearse during the fortnight before each concert date, working intensively over two weeks, and using different weeknights.
CGCO has become known for its bold programming, performing unusual and extraordinary gems alongside contemporary repertoire as well as much-loved chamber-orchestra staples.
Concerts are prepared over two weeks consisting of two evening rehearsals per week and one on the afternoon of the concert, making a total of 15 hours’ rehearsal. CGCO has a policy of inviting guest conductors.
Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra is a Registered Charity, no. 1135544.
