Wycombe Abbey is once again running two chamber music courses for keen amateur adult string players in 2016.
The first runs from Friday 1 - Sunday 3 April and features the Coull Quartet. Founded in 1974, they have been Quartet in Residence at the University of Warwick since 1977. They perform and broadcast throughout the UK and around the world, and have over 30 recordings of music from complete Mendelssohn and Schubert quartets to Sibelius, Britten and several new commissions.
The second is Friday 8 - Sunday 10 July with OXUS, an exciting, vibrant and accomplished string quartet who specialise in contemporary repertoire. They give regular recitals and workshops in schools and colleges as well as concert series in venues such as the Holywell Music Room, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
The courses cost £270 for residential visitors or £195 for day visitors.
